We appreciate that you have chosen to rescue a dog who is eagerly waiting to become a beloved member of a family, rather than simply purchasing one to increase your family. Please take a moment to review the following. These dogs have already experienced a great deal of hardship. Becoming a new member of a family will take time.

Adoption Process
01 Check if you meet the requirements
Requirements of adopting a dog from us
Please be encouraged even if you can not meet the requirements this time. The practical conditions may not be suitable, but that doesn't mean you wouldn't be a good owner. We appreciate your willingness to want to help the dogs.
Your sentiment can be realized in various ways. And in the near future, the right conditions will indeed align, and the destined dog who needs you will appear. Why not join us as a volunteer?

02 Fill out the application form provided
The application is comprehensive, so please allow yourself enough time to complete it thoroughly. Your responses will help us ensure that the dog you're interested in will suit you. Rest assured that we respect your privacy and will not share your details outside our organization.
03 Matching and review
Upon receiving your application, our team will carefully assess its suitability and eligibility. If you can't find a specific dog, you can still apply, and we'll do our best to match you with a compatible dog based on your responses.
04 Interview
If selected, one of our volunteers will contact you for a virtual or in-person interview and home check.
05 Reference Check
After a successful interview and home check, a volunteer will proceed with all necessary reference checks.
06 Sign the adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee as outlined below
Once all documentation is in order and the initial deposit is confirmed, one of our volunteers will arrange the dog's travel plans and inform you of the confirmed time/date as soon as it's available.

What is the meaning of becoming a foster family?
Becoming a foster family for a dog means providing temporary care, shelter, and love until a permanent home is found for them. Foster care allows dogs to thrive in a home setting while awaiting adoption rather than in a shelter environment. It also allows rescue organizations to learn more about the dog's personality, temperament, and any special needs, which can help find the best permanent home match.
Overall, being a foster family for a dog is a rewarding experience that provides temporary care and support to dogs in need, ultimately helping them find a loving forever home.

We are a volunteer-based organization. Our director, founder, and all staff members work tirelessly for the dogs completely free of charge. We strive to find services like website updates and accounting support that can be provided free or at minimal cost, as we want to allocate every dollar towards the dogs.

Flight Angel
Flight Angel refers to those who escort rescued dogs from Mexico Cansun Airport to Vancouver airport. You don't need to pay anything and all procedures are handled through WPRS.
If you plan to go to Cancun, please consider helping the puppies to get to their new families.
【General Procedure】
Meet with staff from the Mexican rescue organization RANCER CONTIGO at Cancun Airport.
There, meet the dogs, check in together at the check-in counter. For small dogs, they will travel with you to Vancouver as one piece of carry-on luggage placed under the seat. Large dogs will be sent to Vancouver Airport as cargo in a crate. Once you arrive to Vancouver, go to the oversize baggage claim area at Vancouver Airport, pick up the dogs, and wait in the immigration audit room until WPRS completes the procedures.
Once all procedures are completed with immigration, the officer will give the GO signal. Leave the airport and hand the dogs over to the fosters or new owners. Your volunteer work will then be completed.
